With a background in retail fashion and couture sewing, Pam opened the fabric store, 'Sewing World', in 1985. Sewing World soon evolved into 'home decor' and window coverings. In 1992 The business was renamed 'Interior World' to better reflect the products and services. Soon the demands of our Calgary clientele had Pam designing interiors and supplying custom product in Calgary and surrounding areas. In 1997 Pam and John left Interior World to open 'Panache Interiors' so they could focus on high end furnishings and interior design. Pamela has now completed many projects all over North America.
With over twenty years experience as a fabric buyer, Pam's sense of colour is unsurpassed. From the beginning, she has shopped the world's largest trade shows, multiple times a year, to find the newest and most unique products. With her own retail furniture store, she is able to offer better pricing than other Interior Designers.

From grade 6 to 13 in Ottawa, Ontario, John took woodwork instruction from British cabinet makers. After university he apprenticed with a master cabinet maker and contractor for four years. After moving here from Whistler in 1971, he began contracting and building custom kitchens. Since John and Pam started Interior World in 1992, he has bench-made custom furniture for Pam's large clientele. With 40 years of professional experience, John considers reproductions and specialty finishing his main skill. He can confidently reproduce any piece of furniture a client can find a picture of or design a piece according to the clients' needs.
